P1. GO WILD

Become Binsted’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year and enter your favourite photo depicting the beauty of the natural world.

We look forward to seeing your pictures capturing our natural world’s ‘undomesticated animal species’ – including mammals, insects, birds, reptiles, amphibians, water and marine life etc

P3. GENERATIONS

Since Joseph Nicéphore Niépce invented photography in 1826, our memories have been documented and shared throughout our generations.

Could you use this category as an opportunity to share those beautiful memories?

P5. SPORT

If your passion is sport, being competitive is within your DNA. From the green of the pitch to the red of a bullseye, where there are sports there is great passion and fantastic photo opportunities.

What have you captured?

P7. HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Our take on ‘Binsted’s Best Garden'!

If your garden looks its best before or after the Binsted Fete, which makes it impossible for

you to enter the physical growing categories, why not show off your best blooms and perfectly pruned pots through the medium of photography?

P2. BEST OF BINSTED

With a Parish that covers around 7,000 acres there is no shortage of beauty within its variety of landscapes and array of listed buildings.

They say a picture can say a thousand words, can you capture a photo that radiates
Binsted?

P4. IT'S ALL BLACK AND WHITE

Early photos were in Black and White and even
since the introduction of colour prints black and white can bring a different take on any subject.

Some big photography awards are still being won using no colour.

What can you bring to this category ?

P6. DUSK TILL DAWN

As the eve approaches as does ‘magic hour’ offering some truly picturesque opportunities, this category is a test of your ability to utilise lighting to capture the best shot between dusk and dawn.

One photograph will be judged as ‘Best in Show’ for The Martin Prize. The Radnor Trophy will be awarded to the photographer of the year who obtains most cumulative points.

The Best Junior Trophy will be awarded for the best photograph in any of the classes, taken by an exhibitor under 16 years old on the day of the show and The Best Novice Trophy will be awarded to an exhibitor in any of the classes, who has not achieved a 1st or 2nd prize in a previous Binsted photography show. This section is open to all age groups and will be judged accordingly.
