The Binsted Fete

Information
Anyone can enter our fun bake off competition, but you can only enter one item per class. Juniors may enter the same cake in both the open classes and the Junior Chef class if they wish.
Please register with the steward from 9.30am. You must set up your bakes by 10.50am. The marquee will then be closed for judging at 11am by Mr Ryan Boxall, Executive Head Chef, assisted by his daughter Lily (age 6). Judging will be based on appearance, texture, flavour, structure and creativity.
Classes

1. Cupcakes. 6 beautifully iced cupcakes.
2. Cookies. 6 cookies, any variety.
3. Loaf Tin Cake. Any variety.
4. One Big One. One big round cake.
5. Favourites. Any bake, friends and family’s favourite.
6. Junior Chef. Any bake made solely by an under 16.
Food Safety
Make sure your hands and all surfaces, utensils and cooking items are thoroughly clean before baking. Please do not use nuts in any of your bakes. Transport your cakes by using tongs and placed in a clean, sealed container.
We will not accept any item that includes fresh cream, meat or nuts.
Presentation
Please present your bake on a suitable, disposable plate or paper. An accompanying card with your cake name and your ingredients list on the front with your name and telephone number on the reverse.
All classes are free to enter but a donation towards our running costs would be much appreciated.

Please let us know how many classes you will be entering by following the 'enter here' link or, emailing thebinstedfete@gmail.com with your name and a copy or screen shot of your completed form so we may arrange enough tables for the entrants.
