What happened at the 116th Binsted Fete...

On Saturday 13th July 2024, we opened the gates to the 116th Binsted Fete. After weeks of weather watching, the Fete team breathed a sigh of relief that it looked like we had a fair chance that the weather would stay dry… if not quite sunny!

The day started early with entrants into the Flower, Produce, Craft and Photography competitions arriving at the main marquee with their impressive array of florals and fruit, plants and preserves and arts and crafts as well as stunning photos of the local area and beyond.

The team at the entrance were kept busy welcoming over 1200 visitors to enjoy the traditional fete games, tractor rides, Young Entrepreneurs and shopping stalls, petting farm and Viscount Montgomery’s Rolls Royce. The BBQ and bar sold out and the Tea Pavilion was on the last offerings of delicious cakes and bakes by the end of the day!

Doors opened to keen dog show owners arriving to ensure their Precious Puppies and Young Handlers were in position for the (in)famous Binsted Dog Show to start…

We welcomed dogs from far and wide, with 195 entries over the 16 categories.

Binsted Fete is run solely by volunteers and the organising team could not achieve such a great day without all of those who help set up, run and clear away all of the stalls and equipment - THANK YOU!!!

We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you’d like to be involved in the 2025 Fete, we’d love to hear from you. Get in Touch
